Scenario: This dialogue conversation takes place between a Restaurant Manager and a student. The student is searching a part time cleaning job.

The dialogue begins now.

1	Student	සුභ උදෑසනක්! අද මට සම්මුඛ පරීක්ෂණයක් සඳහා ඔබේ කාර්යාලයෙන් ඇමතුමක් ලැබුණා.
	Translation	Good morning! I received a call from your office for an interview today.
	Manager	Yes, my assistant arranged the interview and I think, she called you. We are searching a cleaner who can work during evening time.
	Translation	ඔව්, මගේ සහායක සම්මුඛ පරීක්ෂණය සංවිධානය කළා, මම හිතන්නේ, ඇය ඔබට කතා කළා. අපි සවස් කාලයේ වැඩ කළ හැකි පිරිසිදු කරන්නෙකු සොයනව.
2	Student	මට සවස් කාලයේ වැඩ කරන්න පුළුවන්, සති අන්තවලත් වැඩ කරන්න පුළුවන්.
	Translation	I can work during evening time, i can work during weekends also.
	Manager	Do you have prior experience as a cleaner, cleaning is not that easy for a restaurant. You have to work hard.
	Translation	පිරිසිදු කරන්නෙකු ලෙස ඔබට පෙර පළපුරුද්දක් තිබේද, අවන්හලකට පිරිසිදු කිරීම එතරම් පහසු නැත. ඔබ වෙහෙස මහන්සි වී වැඩ කළ යුතුයි.
3	Student	මම අවන්හලක පිරිසිදු කරන්නෙකු ලෙස මාස හයක් වැඩ කර තියෙනවා, මට ඉතා හොඳ අත්දැකීමක් තියෙනවා. වෙහෙස මහන්සි වී වැඩ කිරීම මට ගැටලුවක් නොවේ. මම වෙහෙස මහන්සි වී වැඩ කිරීමට සූදානම්.
	Translation	I have worked six months as cleaner in a restaurant, I have a very good experience. Working hard is not a problem to me. I’m ready to work hard.
	Manager	We hired a student earlier also part time basis, however she couldn’t manage the work with her studies, she left the job after one month period. Are you still studying?
	Translation	අපි මීට පෙරද අර්ධකාලීන පදනමින් සිසුවියක් බඳවා ගත්තෙමු, කෙසේ වෙතත් ඇයගේ අධ්‍යයන කටයුතු සමඟ වැඩ කළමනාකරණය කර ගැනීමට නොහැකි වූ අතර, මාසයක කාලයකින් පසු ඇය රැකියාවෙන් ඉවත් විය. ඔබ තවමත් ඉගෙන ගන්නවාද?
4	Student	මම තවමත් ඉගෙනුම ලබන අතර මෙය මගේ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ අවසාන වසරයි, මට උදේ කාලයේ විශ්ව විද්‍යාල දේශන තියෙනවා. ඒ නිසා මට හවසට වැඩ කරන්න පුළුවන්. මට මගේ වැඩ සහ අධ්‍යයන කළමනාකරණය කළ පුළුවන්.
	Translation	I’m still studying and this is my last year in the university, I have university lectures during morning time. Therefore, I can work during evening time. I can manage my works and studies.
	Manager	I know many students are working as cleaners in part time jobs, it is not easy. If you are ready. I have no problem.
	Translation	මම දන්නවා බොහෝ සිසුන් පිරිසිදු කරන්නන් ලෙස අර්ධකාලීන රැකියාවල නිරත වන අතර එය පහසු නැත. ඔබ සූදානම් නම්. මට කිසිම ප්‍රශ්නයක් නැහැ.
5	Student	මෙම අවන්හල වැසෙන වේලාව මට දැනගත පුළුවන්ද? මෙය මධ්‍යම රාත්‍රිය දක්වා විවෘතව තබනවාද? අවන්හල සති අන්තයේ විවෘතද?
	Translation	Can I know the closing time of this restaurant? Is this kept opened till midnight? Is the restaurant opened during weekends?
	Manager	We are closing our restaurant by 10.00 pm during weekdays, except Friday. We are keeping our restaurant opened till midnight on Friday and during weekends. Is there any problem.
	Translation	සිකුරාදා හැර සතියේ දිනවල අපි අපගේ අවන්හල රාත්‍රී 10.00 ට වසා දමමු. අපි අපගේ අවන්හල සිකුරාදා මධ්‍යම රාත්‍රිය දක්වා සහ සති අන්තවල විවෘතව තබමු. මොකක් හරි ප්‍රශ්නයක්ද.
6	Student	නැහැ, ඒක මට හොඳයි.
	Translation	No, it is fine with me.
	Manager	Where are you staying? Is your residence near to the restaurant? If you want we can provide you accommodation.
	Translation	ඔබ සිටින්නේ කොහේද? ඔබේ පදිංචිය අවන්හල අසලද? ඔබට අවශ්‍ය නම් අපට ඔබට නවාතැන් පහසුකම් සපයා දිය හැක.
7	Student	මම දැනට මෙහි ඉතා ආසන්නයේ නැවතී ඉන්නවා; එය පයින් යා හැකි දුර පමණි. ඔයාට ස්තූතියි. මට නවාතැන් අවශ්‍ය නැ.
	Translation	I’m currently staying very closed to here; it is only walking distance. Thank you. Accommodation will not be required for me.
	Manager	Are you staying alone? Are you married?
	Translation	ඔබ තනියමද ඉන්නේ? ඔයා කසාද බැඳලා ද?
8	Student	මම විවාහක නැහැ, මම මගේ මිතුරන් සමඟ ජීවත් වෙනවා. අපි හැමෝම එකම විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ ඉගෙන ගන්නවා.
	Translation	I’m not married, I’m living with my friends. We all are studying in the same university.
	Manager	If you are fine to work here, we can discuss about salary. What is your salary expectation?
	Translation	ඔබ මෙහි වැඩ කිරීමට කැමති නම්, අපට වැටුප් ගැන සාකච්ඡා කළ හැකිය. ඔබ අපේක්ෂා කරන වැටුප කීයද?
9	Student	මට නිශ්චිත මුදලක් කියන්න බැහැ, කොහොම වෙතත් මම පැයකට AUD 50 ක් බලාපොරොත්තු වෙනව.
	Translation	I cannot tell exact amount, However I’m expecting AUD 50 for an hour.
	Manager	It seems your expectation is little higher than our budget. Is this negotiable? We can offer AUD 40 per hour. This is the current salary range in this area.
	Translation	ඔබේ අපේක්ෂාව අපේ අයවැයට වඩා ටිකක් වැඩි බව පෙනේ. මෙය සාකච්ඡා කළ හැකිද? අපිට පැයකට AUD 40ක් දෙන්න පුළුවන්. මෙම ප්රදේශයේ වත්මන් වැටුප් පරාසය මෙයයි.
10	Student	හොඳයි, එය මා බලාපොරොත්තු වූවාට වඩා ටිකක් අඩුයි. එය විශාල ගැටලුවක් නොවේ. මට ඔබගේ යෝජනාවට එකඟ වෙන්න පුළුවන්. ටික කාලයකට පසු මට කිසියම් වැටුප් වැඩිවීමක් අපේක්ෂා කරන්න පුළුවන් ද?
	Translation	Fine, it is only AUD 10 less than I expected. It is not a big problem. I can agree with your offer. Can I expect any increment after sometime.
	Manager	You can start with AUD 40 per week, I will consider to make an increment after 3 months period.
	Translation	ඔබට සතියකට AUD 40 කින් ආරම්භ කළ හැක, මාස 3ක කාලයකට පසු වැඩි කිරීමක් කිරීමට මම සලකා බලමි.
11	Student	ඒක හොඳයි, ඔබට ස්තුතියි.
	Translation	It is good, Thank you.
	Manager	Do you want to know anything else?
	Translation	ඔබට වෙනත් යමක් දැන ගැනීමට අවශ්‍යද?
12	Student	ඔබට පිරිසිදු කරන්නෙකු සඳහා වෙනත් පුරප්පාඩුවක් තිබේද, මගේ මිතුරෙකු ද පිරිසිදු කිරීමේ රැකියාවක් සොයමින් සිටී.
	Translation	Do you have any other vacancy for a cleaner, one of my friends also searching a cleaning job.
	Manager	Sorry, Currently we have only one vacancy.
	Translation	කණගාටුයි, දැනට අපට ඇත්තේ එක් පුරප්පාඩුවක් පමණි.
13	Student	හොඳයි, ස්තූතියි.
	Translation	Fine, Thank you.
	Manager	You can start work from tomorrow onwards.
	Translation	හෙට ඉඳන් වැඩ පටන් ගන්න පුළුවන්.
