Scenario: This dialogue conversation takes place between John who is the English speaker and Perera, who speaks in Sinhalese. Perera wants to sell his business to John.

The dialogue begins now.

1	John	Nice to see you. I think we never met before. Thank you for coming today with your busy works. Please have a seat. Would you like to drink anything?
	Translation	ඔයාව දැකීම සතුටක්. මම හිතන්නේ අපි මීට කලින් කවදාවත් හමුවෙලා නැහැ. කාර්යබහුල වැඩත් එක්ක අද ආවට ස්තුතියි. කරුණාකර වාඩි වන්න. ඔබ යමක් බොන්න කැමතිද?
	Perera	ඔයාවත් හමුවීම සතුටක්. හරි, මම කෝපි කෝප්පයක් බොන්න කැමතියි. මම ගිය සතියේ එන්න හිතාගෙන හිටියත් මට එන්න බැරි වුණා. මම අසනීප වුණා.
	Translation	Same here. Nice to see you. Ok, I would like to have a cup of coffee. Though I planned to visit you last week, I couldn’t come. I had cold and flu.
2	John	Yes, I can remember. My assistant mentioned that she received a call from your office to reschedule our meeting to this week. How are you now?
	Translation	ඔව්, මට මතකයි. අපගේ රැස්වීම මේ සතිය තුල පවත්වන්න ඔබේ කාර්යාලයෙන් ඇමතුමක් ලැබුණු බව මගේ සහායිකාව සඳහන් කළාය. ඔබට කොහොමද දැන්?
	Perera	මම දැන් හොඳින්, මම දැන් සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම සුව වී සිටිමි. ඔබ සමඟ සෑම දෙයක්ම හොඳින් ඇතැයි මම බලාපොරොත්තු වෙනවා. මෑතකදී ඔබේ සමාගම තවත් ශාඛාවක් සිඩ්නි ප්‍රදේශයේ විවෘත කළ බව මට ආරංචි විය. එය විශිෂ්ට ජයග්‍රහණයකි. මම ඔබට සුභ පතනවා.
	Translation	I’m fine now, and fully recovered now. Hope everything is fine with you. I heard that recently your company opened another branch in Sydney area. It is a great achievement. I congratulate you.
3	John	Yes, Thank you. We managed to opened another branch. We have a high demand in that area and we felt that a branch is required.
	Translation	ඔව්, ස්තුතියි. අපි තවත් ශාඛාවක් විවෘත කළා. එම ප්‍රදේශයේ අපට ඉහළ ඉල්ලුමක් ඇති අතර ශාඛාවක් අවශ්‍ය බව අපට දැනුණා.
	Perera	හොඳයි, ඔබේ දියුණුව දැකීමට මම කැමතියි.
	Translation	Good, I love you see the your progress.
4	John	Thank you, let’s move to our discussion. I received your company’s financials statements and other documents. It seems that the company is doing good. But why do you want to sell the company in this stage?
	Translation	ස්තූතියි, අපි අපගේ සාකච්ඡාවට යමු. මට ඔබේ සමාගම් මූල්‍ය ප්‍රකාශන සහ වෙනත් ලියකියවිලි ලැබුණා. සමාගම හොඳින් කටයුතු කරන බව පෙනේ. නමුත් මෙම අදියරේදී ඔබට සමාගම විකිණීමට අවශ්ය වන්නේ ඇයි?
	Perera	මගේ සමාගම හොඳින් කරගෙන යන අතර අපි විශාල ලාභයක් ලැබුවා. ඒත්, මම දැන් වයසයි. මම මේ ව්‍යාපාර කටයුතු සියල්ලෙන්ම විශ්‍රාම ගන්න කියලා හිතුවා.
	Translation	My company is doing good and we made huge profits. But, I’m old now. I thought to retire from all these business activities.
5	John	I can understand that you are old, but why can not you ask your son to look after and run your company.
	Translation	මට තේරෙනවා ඔයා වයසයි කියලා, ඒත් ඇයි පුතාට ඔයාගේ සමාගම බලාගන්න කියලා කියන්න බැරි.
	Perera	මගේ පුතාට ව්‍යාපාර ගැන උනන්දුවක් නැහැ. එයාට ඕන එයාගෙම දේවල් අත්හදා බලන්න. මගේ ගමන යන්න කියලා මම එයාට බලපෑම් කළේ නැහැ. ඔහු කැමති ක්‍ෂේත්‍රයේ ඉදිරියට යාමට මම ඔහුට පූර්ණ නිදහස දී තිබෙනවා.
	Translation	My son has no interest on businesses. He wants to try his own things. I didn’t put pressure on him to go on my path. I have given him full freedom to progress in the field which he likes.
6	John	Good, Is this company under your single ownership? Have you taken any borrowings from banks or other parties for your company?
	Translation	හොඳයි, මෙම සමාගම ඔබේ තනි හිමිකාරිත්වය යටතේද? ඔබ ඔබේ සමාගම සඳහා බැංකුවලින් හෝ වෙනත් පාර්ශ්වවලින් ණය ගෙන තිබේද?
	Perera	මෙම ආයතනයේ 100% හිමිකාරිත්වය මා සතුව ඇති අතර මම බැංකුවකින් හෝ වෙනත් පාර්ශවයකින් කිසිදු ණයක් ගෙන නොමැත.
	Translation	I have 100% ownership of this company and I have not taken any loans from a bank or other party.
7	John	It is good. I couldn’t find valuation report within your documents, can you give valuation report? Have you done a valuation for your company?
	Translation	ඒක හොඳයි. මට ඔබේ ලේඛන තුළ තක්සේරු වාර්තාවක් සොයාගත නොහැකි විය, ඔබට තක්සේරු වාර්තාවක් ලබා දිය හැකිද? ඔබ ඔබේ සමාගම සඳහා තක්සේරුවක් කර තිබේද?
	Perera	මම තවම තක්සේරු වාර්තාවක් කරලා නැහැ. මම මගේ මූල්‍ය කළමණාකරුට තක්සේරු වාර්තාවක් හදන්න උපදේශකයෙකු සම්බන්ධ කර ගන්න කියල කිව්වා.
	Translation	I have not done a valuation report yet. I have asked my finance manager to engage consultant to perform valuation report.
8	John	I need to do a valuation report from our side as well, we will need some documents for this, I will ask my team to coordinate your team for this.
	Translation	මට අපේ පැත්තෙනුත් තක්සේරු වාර්තාවක් කරන්න ඕන, මේකට ලියකියවිලි ටිකක් අවශ්‍ය වෙනවා, මම මගේ කණ්ඩායමට කියනවා ඔබේ කණ්ඩායම මේ සඳහා සම්බන්ධීකරණය කරන්න කියලා.
	Perera	ඇත්ත වශයෙන්ම, අපි ඔබට අවශ්‍ය සියලුම ලියකියවිලි ලබා දෙන්නම්.
	Translation	Sure, we will provide you all the required documents.
9	John	Mr. Perera, once we completed the valuation report, we can meet again and discuss further. I expect instalment payment plan from you for this. I hope, this is fine with you.
	Translation	පෙරේරා මහතා, තක්සේරු වාර්තාව අවසන් කළ පසු අපට නැවත හමුවී තවදුරටත් සාකච්ඡා කළ හැකියි. මේ සඳහා වාරික ගෙවීමේ සැලැස්ම මම ඔබෙන් බලාපොරොත්තු වෙමි. මම හිතන්නේ, ඔබ මෙයට කැමතියි කියල.
	Perera	ප්‍රශ්නයක් නැහැ, වාරික සැලැස්මකට එකඟ වෙන්න පුළුවන්.
	Translation	There is no problem, we can agree for a instalment plan.
10	John	Thank you for understanding, because I invested a lot money for new branch also. That’s why I requested instalment plan.
	Translation	මම නව ශාඛාව සඳහා ද විශාල මුදලක් ආයෝජනය කළා, ඒකයි මම වාරික සැලැස්මක් ඉල්ලුවේ. තේරුම් ගත්තාට ඔබට ස්තුතියි.
	Perera	ඒකට කමක් නෑ, මට තේරුම් ගන්න පුළුවන්.
	Translation	It is fine, I can understand.
11	John	I will discuss with my lawyer and finance manager and I will ask my assistant to inform you a date for our next meeting. Thank you for coming today.
	Translation	මම මගේ නීතිඥයා සහ මූල්‍ය කළමනාකරු සමඟ සාකච්ඡා කර අපගේ මීළඟ රැස්වීම සඳහා දිනයක් ඔබට දැනුම් දෙන ලෙස මම මගේ සහායකයාගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටිමි. අද ආවට ස්තුතියි.
	Perera	ජෝන් මහතාට ස්තුතියි.
	Translation	Thank you Mr. John.
